Profilul de activitate al Laboratorului:
Tehnologia materialelor supraconductoare: nanostructuri stratificate supraconductor/ferromagnet; pelicule supraconductoare MgB2.
Cercetări experimentale şi teoretice ale fenomenelor în nanostructurile supraconductoare: caracteristicile stărilor la interfață; efectul de supraconductivitate re-entrantă; efectul proximiti.
Elaborarea dispozitivelor electronice și spintronice supraconductoare pe baza nanostructurilor obținute.
Fenomene de transport și proprietățile magnetice ale bicristalelor și nanofirelor pe baza compușilor din semimetale și semiconductori.
Obiectivele de cercetare:
Nanostructuri supraconductor/feromagnetic (Nb/Ni, Ni/CuNi).
Pelicule supraconductoare MgB2.
Bicristale şi nanofire din semimetale şi aliaje (Bi, Bi-Sb).
Dispozive electronice.
Facilităţi, metode elaborate şi utilizate în laborator:
Tehnologia de obţinere a nanostructurilor stratificate prin depunere magnetron.
Tehnologia de obţinere a peliculelor supraconductoare MgB2
Tehnologia de obţinere a bicristalelor din semimetale şi aliaje (în colaborare cu UTM)
Metode de cercetare a temperaturii critice în supraconductori şi a parametrilor cinetici în obiectele dimensional-limitate în intervalul de temperatură 4.2–300 K.
Metodă de deformare uniaxială a whiskerilor şi a microfirelor în capilare de sticlă.
Cercetări la Microscopul de Forţă Atomică.
